Q - Do you guys know how to spell Dance???
A - Yes... Danse is the French spelling.
Q - When does dance take place?
A - Dance classes run at the same time school does. We begin classes September 4th and end classes at the end of May, with a Dance Showcase the first weekend of June. We do not hold regular classes weekly during the summer, but do hold many camps! During the season, we are closed for the same school holidays set by the Natchitoches Parish School Board.
Q - Does FDLD do any performances?
A - Absolutely. In our first year alone, FDLD performed in the Natchitoches Christmas Festival Parade, a Northwestern State University Men's Basketball Game Half Time, and we will also have our annual Dance Showcase at A.A. Fredericks on Northwestern's campus. All ages perform!
Q - How many times can my child miss dance class?
A - Since dance class is usually only once a week, absences need to be kept at a minimum. Only 5 absences will be tolerated and make up classes will be offered twice a year and on a Friday evening. If a child misses more than 5 days and missed make up classes, the child will not be allowed to perform in the Review. No refunds.
Q - Are there any discounts available?
A - YES!
Families recieve a discount. The oldest child will be full price. 2nd child is 25% discount. 3rd child is 50% discount. 4th child is 75% discount and any children past that point. Discounts on tuition and Review Fee only.
Refer A Friend discounts are eligible. For every person who signs up and says that you referred them, a $20 credit will be applied to your tuition. There is NO CAP on how many students you can refer. $20 will be credited for each student, even if they are in the same family. Credits will only go towards tuition.
Class Assistant scholarships are available for Advanced students.
Q - Where is the studio located?
A - The studio is located at 7510 Hwy 1 Bypass, Natchitoches, LA 71457. But, get ready for our NEW building that is currently under way! It will be located right behind the current building, but it will be bigger!!!
Q - Does FDLD go to dance competitions?
A - We are competing for the first time during our 2012-2013 season. Auditions have already been held, and teams have been chosen. New students can have a private audition if interested in joining the Danse Krewe!
Q - What should my daughter wear to dance class???
A - Check out our online store to find the clothes and shoes that are required for your class. Our store is easy to navigate and list items based on whatever class your dancer is enrolled in! So, if your dancer is in the Mini level class you do the following - Click on online store, log in, click Mini level class, and then shop for what you need!
